MEERY Project

Maldives: Enhancing Employability and Resilience of Youth "MEERY" is an initiative of the Ministry of Economic Development. It is a five-year world bank-funded project aimed at empowering the youth and creating opportunities. The main objective is to improve relevance of technical, vocational skills and foster entrepreneurship to promote youth employment in priority sectors. As part of the Ministry of Economic Developments efforts to empower local entrepreneurs economically, the MEERY PMU has launched the Grants Programs for Women-led Businesses and Tailoring Businesses.
