The program provides financial and technical support to registered micro-businesses to expand their small business and Nascent / Start-up businesses that has the intention to register if financial assistance receives under these grant programs.
The program is open for Addu City, Male City, Fuvahmulah City and Kulhudhuffushi City.
A total of 100 slots are open to provide financial assistance up to Rs 100,000 to each applicant.
Only Maldivians in the age group of 18-65 years can apply for the program. Individuals can also apply for business (soul trader, partnership, limited company)
If a applicant is applying for the program as a registered micro-business, a confirmation letter from the council, stating the business has been operated in any of the targeted city’ for the past one year is required to be submitted.
In the case of a new start-up, a council confirmation letter stating that the applicant has been resident at any of the targeted city for the past one year is required to be submitted.
Only those who have completed the entrepreneurship development training program can apply for the grant.
The Applicant should not have received support from any preceding grant programs delivered through the Ministry of Economic Development since January 2020, including MEERY Business Pitch Competition (BPC), and Covid-19 Income Support Allowance (ISA), Self-employment Grants program.
